MHQ Movement Assessment

Start 2024 with a better understanding of your movement health to enhance your gym performance and reduce the risk of injury.

An MHQ Movement Assessment will review your body’s biomechanics, identifying any weak links or imbalances as well as your strengths.

The objective is to prevent you from aimlessly going through the motions when you exercise, helping you achieve your full range of motion whilst you move safely and effectively.

An MHQ Movement Assessment is suitable for everyone – whether you’re just starting your training journey or are a seasoned gym-goer.

WHAT YOU'LL GET


A detailed assessment of your strengths and imbalances, as our Head Coaches assess your movement patterns whilst you perform the following essential movement patterns which include:

 

OVERHEAD SQUATS

Assessing the mobility of multiple joints simultaneously, identifying muscles which could be over or underactive, any postural alignment deviations, and how well you maintain good balance and motor control as multiple joints and muscles work together.


ANKLE DORSIFLEXION

Crucial for various functional movements such as squatting, lunging, running, and jumping. Limited dorsiflexion can impede these movements, affecting overall functional mobility, balance and stability, and joint health.


TRUNK STABILITY 

Revealing the core’s strength, balance, and ability to support the spine, impacting posture, movement efficiency, and potential injury risk.


SPLIT SQUAT STABILITY

Demonstrating lower body strength, balance, and control, indicating functional movement capability and highlighting potential asymmetries or weaknesses.


ACTIVE STRAIGHT LEG RAISE 

Evaluating hamstring flexibility, hip mobility and core stability, indicating potential muscle imbalances or limitations in functional movement.
