Skye Hodges

Studying the art of classical ballet (Cecchetti Method) since age 3, Skye enjoys a life as teacher and performer as well as nurturing and guiding children, young people and adults in all parts of their physical movement lives.

Skye grew up on Sydney’s northern beaches where she trained under Jan Roach, Jane Moran and Dianne Pokorny. Studying all levels in the Cecchetti Method of classical ballet she passed all ballet examinations up to Advanced 2 with Honours.

She went on to study full-time ballet in Sydney at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy Under Robyn Ross and Valerie Jenkins obtaining an Associate in Teaching Classical Ballet Cecchetti Method. In the years following, she went on to complete a full Associate Diploma including Certificate 4 in classical ballet teaching and dance school management.

Skye is also fully qualified in children’s services holding an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. She has over 20 years of experience working across many age groups including long day care, pre-school, Out of school hours care and Vacation Care.

As well as teaching ballet Skye is lucky enough to combine her love for anatomy and fitness as a qualified teacher in Pilates (both Mat and Reformer) and Barre. Since qualifying as a Yoga teacher in 2019, she is passionate about sharing her love of this ancient Philosophy with clientele far and wide in Mindbody/Fitness boutiques in the Northern Sydney area.

She enjoys creating the opportunity for a high level of dance and functional movement education in a fun and safe environment to people of ALL ages!

Performing has been a large part of Skye’s life. When successfully auditioning, She has had the opportunity to perform in many musicals as dancer, singer and actor, as well as having the honour of role of ‘Dance Captain’ with many of Sydney’s theatre Company’s including…
