Dan was born with undiagnosed hip dysplasia and had to have a hip reconstruction at age 7. This left him with limited mobility in his hip and spine and from then on had serious pain when walking or moving which turned into stage 4 osteoarthritis. At age 34 he was told he had the hip of a 90 year old.
In his 20s, with the pain getting worse he embarked on a journey of exploration, seeking various movement practices to see if it could help or improve his hip and help him regain control of his life.
This led him to develop a deep passion for strength and movement, mobility training, rock climbing. gymnastics and yoga.
Driven by his own experience, Dan decided to become a certified yoga teacher and personal trainer with a strong focus on helping others move better for longer, and recover from long-standing injuries. His mission is to empower individuals to reclaim their bodies and transform their lives to the fullest.
Dan likes to think his coaching approach is unique, approachable and totally transformative. He believes in reframing how clients think about exercise and movement, going beyond traditional notions of fitness and keeping them young at heart by incorporating elements of play to keep sessions fun, engaging and dynamic.
With Dan as your coach you can expect a holistic, engaging and personalised approach to your fitness and wellness journey with a splash of fun along the way.
